IT organizational structure.
Lately, I have heard more and more about various IT management strategies. The ones that keep coming up are the matrix and Prism approaches to IT. CIO's need to understand the depth first model and organizing around business Unit don't work. They squelch outside aggravations immediately; and then breed ineffectiveness and inefficiency through out the organization. In tight time almost everyone has decided IT organizational structure should not mirror business structure. By organizing IT like the rest of the business; you build in the politics and in-fighting that exists elsewhere.
